Then, after you have seen the software and only when you know it is something you want, you buy it. You save money, because you are not paying for layers of middlemen, wasteful packaging, or other nonsense. You also get better service because you can reach the program authors much more efficiently using e-mail and resources like the World Wide Web. If you use Shareware, please pay for it. Your support is needed to make this a viable, (and much much nicer), way of distributing software.
